Listening is one of those skills that always gets a lot of philosophical and moral attention but not a ton of practical attention. Kate Murphy’s new book, You’re Not Listening: What You’re Missing and Why It Matters, is an exception, providing an in-depth look at why listening is important for our lives and what we get out of it.
